Where's My Booking Confirmation Email?


If you made a booking we would have sent you a confirmation email but email is not 100% deliverable. Please check your spam folder as it might be there. Your email contains your password. If you know it, "SIGN IN" in the top right corner and you can access the My Bookings section. From there you can:



  1. Get the email resent
  2. Add a backup email (also available immediately after you make a booking)
  3. See your booking details and confirmation numbers
  4. Access the latest coupon list



If you don't know your password, get a password reissue at http://www.carrental.com.au/forgot-password


Where Are The Coupons?


Links tot he coupon pages are included in the booking confirmation emails. Just "SIGN IN" in the top right corner (or get a password reissue if you don't know your password). 


Cancellations & Changes To Existing Bookings incl Adding Child Seats and GPS


If you just need to cancel a booking, sign in using your email and password. Your bookings are listed, just click the cancel button wherever appropriate.


We advise this course if you want to change/modify a booking:

1.  To add GPS and child seats, call the supplier to add them and they will take down the children's ages: 


  • Avis: 136 333
  • Budget: 1300 362 848
  • Hertz: 13 30 39
  • Thrifty: 1300 367 227
  • Europcar: 1300 13 13 902


2.  To change pickup or dropoff times by +30 minutes or change locations, create a new booking and cancel the old one (see above for the cancellation process).

3.  To change cars, cancel (see process above) and delete your first booking (there could be some upgrade coupons attached to your booking confirmation email too).


What about Excess Reduction?


Excess reduction is not included in your booking as you will be offered it upon pickup. It costs about $30 a day depending on the rental company, the vehicle and the location. Booking through CarRental.com.au does not impact your excess reduction options in any way, so booking here is the same as booking with them (except we are Australian and we save you time, give you some exclusive coupons, we show you love etc etc). More info about pricing.


Other Common Questions

  • Deposits/Bonds: The rental companies take a credit card imprint for the vehicle charge amount (in case you don't close off the bill upon dropoff) and they take a deposit (aka bond) of about $300 in case the car doesn't come back or comes back damaged.
  • We offer a price guarantee. Our prices are exactly the same as what's shown on the websites of Hertz, Budget, Avis, Europcar and Thrifty. More details on pricing.
  • We don't take payment. You pay at pickup. For invoice requests please direct them to the car rental company you used.
