When you arrive at Brisbane airport you can’t help feeling your holiday has begun. Pick up your rental car here or in Brisbane city and your Sunshine State experience is underway.  You can get to Brisbane from the airport on the train for around $15 AUD, in a cab for about $40 AUD or there are a number of shuttles that run to the city and some hotels. The Gold Coast is just a 90 minute drive from Brisbane so you can easily visit Surfer’s Paradise or one of the many fun parks.  Brisbane has a thriving arts and music scene and is a great place to begin exploring the rest of Queensland. Why not drive up the Sunshine Coast to Noosa or Fraser Island or head westward into the country and the Western Downs or for the really game, northwest into the outback. You are only limited by time and your imagination.
