Canberra is a city packed with things to see and do and a rental car will help you pack the most into your visit. You can pick up your hire car at Canberra airport or in Canberra city. To get to the city from the airport without driving yourself will cost you about $25 AUD in a cab or $9 AUD in a shuttle. Once you are underway you can visit the National Museum and National Gallery, get a dose of democracy at Australian Parliament House or visit the War memorial.
