Avis UK Car Rental has announced that they will begin waiving cancellation fees for customers who must cancel or postpone their car rental reservations due to inclement weather. Until Tuesday, January 4, Avis will suspend its Non Cancellation Fee for pay-on-return bookings.

Customers who know ahead of time that they will be hindered from completing their reservations are being asked to cancel their bookings with Avis in order to open up their fleet to other customers.

Pre-pay reservations may be cancelled and a full refund will be returned to those customers without the standard administration fee of £20. Customers who picked up their car rental prior to the extreme weather are allowed to continue their reservation at the same rate with which they had been paying previously.
